| Personal History | Born on Vulcan, she moved to the USS Herophilos when she was a toddler, where her father served as Chief Science Officer, and her mother was Chief Engineer. Being a hospital ship, and effectively a mobile medical city she was surrounded by medical people and situations from an early age. She and the other children on the ship were infected with a plague and she got her first taste of doctors and how they helped people. She bonded with the ship's Captain, and decided she wanted to be a doctor. Her parents supported her, despite her difficulties relating to her father who did not always approve of her bubbly personality, and her mother's hope she'd keep in Engineering. Nonetheless, both were proud of her for pursuing the sciences and following a passion. Growing up on a hospital ship made for a convenient way to study medicine, and by the time she was old enough to apply to the academy, she'd already qualified out of some of the medical coursework by virtue of study and practical experience. She applied for a fast track program, combining her academy time and remaining medical school requirements, graduating in five years with her commission and medical degree. Her first posting was the USS Fleming as one of many on the medical staff. She was promoted to Lieutenant j.g. after a year and a half on board and began to take on more responsibilities around Sickbay, eventually getting promoted to the ACMO, heading up Gamma Shift. After four years on the Fleming, she put in for a transfer to the USS Montreal after finding out it was looking for a new ACMO. After eight months, the CMO retired, and T'prin put in for the position. Her work on helping prevent mass casualties during an outbreak of Rigellian Fever on Galadorn II earned her a promotion to Lieutenant Commander, and is still one of her proudest accomplishments. While she had spent almost her entire life on ships and moving around the galaxy, she found herself wanting a bit more stability, especially as her mother was getting older and was now based on Earth with S.C.E. and decided to look for a posting that would allow her a more stable address. |
