Michael walked into Engineering with a spring in his step. He loved stepping into a new engine room, taking a breath and seeing what the new place had to offer. This one had recently been cleaned, so it was mostly solvents and that odd, almost cinnamon scent that the designers of the solvents thought would mask the aroma of their product, instead just making it smell like solvent with cinnamon. These first-day interviews were always booorring but Halli had known what she was signing on for when she took this job. She just hadn't expected to be picked up so fast. Still. She was here, and she was making good progress with onboarding new crew. She just wished she had had the foresight to bring more coffee and a snack. She had the replicator, but replicator coffee was disgusting.

Mak entered the coordinates onto his navigation console. Flying incognito in the Fenris Ranger ship, he glided through space dust near a moon. The computer beeped, displaying the location within the Qiris sector. Adjusting his civilian clothing, he pulled on his collar subconsciously. The comm on his computer beeped as Mak slapped on it.
